symptoms of Bulldog Interdigital Infection
Don't assume that Bulldogs have thick skin and sturdy paws than your arms. In fact, this is also a vulnerable area. Today, I'd like to talk to you about a common problem in pets, also known as doggie interdigital cysts or abscesses.
Obvious characteristics of the affected area:
The dog's toes have a red boil or swelling. Dogs often lick them, initially they may just be red and swollen like pimples, but later they will become infected and bleed. There are many factors that can cause interdigital abscesses, such as: infection due to lack of trace elements and vitamins, dark and humid living environment, bacterial invasion caused by pet injuries, and long-term confinement in metal cages.
Treatment for Interdigital Inflammation:
Although the disease looks disgusting, the treatment is quite simple. The most common method is to apply German Siemens cream twice a day in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The effect is very good. It will be healed in just 3 days. Alternatively, you can also use erythromycin ointment, applying it 2-3 times a day, and it will be resolved in about 3-4 days.
Precautions for treating interdigital inflammation:
Make sure to put an Elizabeth collar on the dog, as when the dog's paws are uncomfortable, they will constantly lick them. The dog's saliva will exacerbate the inflammation, and it will also cause the topical medicine to be licked off, rendering it unable to work effectively. This is very detrimental to the treatment.
