Cat Always Wants to Go Out
A cat that wants to go outside constantly is likely bored with indoor life, curious about the outside world, or has made new friends outside. In this case, the owner can spend more time accompanying the cat and buy some toys they love. If conditions permit, install safety barriers and place mats on them. Ensure the cat cannot fall off and let it observe the outside world from the balcony or safety barrier.
How Long Can a Kitten Be taken Outdoors?
Do not take a kitten outdoors until it has completed its vaccination schedule. Unvaccinated cats have weaker resistance and are easily infected with diseases. It is generally recommended to start the first vaccination at 8 weeks, with a total of three doses of combined vaccines and one dose of rabies vaccine.
How to Take a Cat Outdoors
If your cat is gentle, loves humans, and is not resistant to unfamiliar environments, you can put it on your shoulder. If you're worried about the cat getting lost along the way, you can tie a leash, but only if you're sure it won't wander off. If your cat is timid and afraid of unfamiliar environments but still needs to go outside, you can buy a cat backpack or a cage and portable cat carrier.
How Long Does a Cat Take to Return After Going Out?
The time varies. Some cats won't return until they have had enough fun outside. They will explore for other cat companions, and if there are other cats to play with, they may stay even longer. If there's nothing else to do outside, the cat might come back quickly. When it gets hungry and there's no food available, it may return. If the location is close, the owner can try calling it or make it hear the sound of a catnip toy to encourage it to come back.
