Cat Feces Color
A cat's normal feces should be golden brown and formed, with a certain shape and moisture. However, some cat feces may present different colors due to diet. Owners can judge their cat's health by observing their feces. The color, shape, and smell of cat feces can effectively reflect the cat's physical condition and are also key points for clinical diagnosis in veterinary hospitals.
White Feces
If a cat's feces are white, it may indicate various abnormal conditions such as intestinal flora imbalance and gastrointestinal diseases. Owners should take their cats to the animal hospital in time. White striped objects in cat feces usually refer to parasites, and owners need to perform internal deworming to solve this problem.
Black Feces
If a cat's feces are black, the first possible reason is bleeding from the gastrointestinal mucosa, causing the feces to be dark red. Another possible reason is that the cat has eaten too much oily or indigestible food, leading to indigestion and black feces. As long as the feces are formed and dry, there is no need to worry too much.
What to Do if Cat Feces Are Dry and Black
Cat feces become dry and black due to an oily diet and insufficient food moisture. Owners are advised to adjust their cat's diet and feed them appropriate amounts of probiotics. If the cat has mild constipation, owners should feed them honey water or laxative drugs. If the black color of the feces is due to coagulated blood, it may be caused by intestinal mucosa damage, and owners should take their cats to the hospital for inspection in a timely manner.
