Does a dog with high inflammation have parasites?

High inflammation in dogs may be a symptom of parasite infection. Common parasitic gastroenteritis can cause symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, parasites in feces, and anemia. To prevent dogs from developing gastrointestinal diseases, it is recommended that owners regularly deworm their dogs, vaccinate them, and clean their dog bowls regularly.

Causes of high inflammation

Inflammation in dogs is mainly related to the action of inflammatory factors. Inflammatory response is a pathological process, which occurs when inflammatory factors are present, leading to an increase and aggregation of immune cells and immune active substances to function. Inflammatory factors mainly include biological factors, physical and chemical factors, foreign bodies, necrotic tissues, and allergic reactions.

How to check for parasites

Parasites on dogs can be divided into internal and external parasites, and there are certain methods to check for them. If it's external parasites, owners can check them by visual inspection. If it's internal parasites and there are no obvious symptoms of parasite excretion, a fecal examination at a veterinarian's office is needed to determine whether there are parasites in the dog's body.

Worming methods

Internal deworming drugs should be chosen to be mild, with minimal stomach irritation and weak toxic and side effects. When feeding, the drug can be crushed and mixed with dog food to make the dog eat it, avoiding stomach irritation and vomiting caused by forced feeding. For external deworming, drops or sprays can be used. It is recommended to choose non-irritating odorless drugs to avoid affecting the dog's sense of smell.
