Dog's belly sounds like diarrhea
Diarrhea refers to loose stools, and a dog's belly sounding like diarrhea may be caused by hunger, overeating and poor digestion, abdominal cold, excessive internal parasites, and enteritis. First, if the diarrhea is caused by hunger, overeating, and poor digestion, or abdominal cold, it is a normal phenomenon, and the owner does not need to worry too much. Secondly, if the diarrhea is abnormal and accompanied by other symptoms in the body, such as abdominal pain and decreased appetite, it is recommended that the owner take the dog to a regular pet hospital for treatment in a timely manner.
- Hunger
If hunger occurs, it can lead to abdominal gurgling sounds and resemble diarrhea. This can be improved by feeding the dog, such as dog food and chicken cans. The sound of the abdomen will gradually disappear as hunger is relieved.
- Overeating and poor digestion
Dogs are omnivorous and can eat meat, vegetables, and some grains. However, their gastrointestinal digestion is poor. If they eat too much, it may affect the speed of gastrointestinal peristalsis, causing abdominal sounds resembling diarrhea. It is necessary to control the intake and avoid overeating. Generally, there is no need for medication.
- Abdominal cold
If the abdomen is stimulated by cold wind, it can cause diarrhea and abdominal pain, accompanied by gurgling sounds. It is necessary to warm the abdomen and drink more warm water to relieve local discomfort.
- Excessive internal parasites
When there are too many parasites in the intestine, it accelerates the speed of gastrointestinal peristalsis, damages the intestinal environment, causes weight loss and diarrhea. The dog may often rub its hindquarters on the ground to relieve local itching. If not improved in time, it may cause abnormal sounds in the abdomen. Parasite control drugs should be taken under a doctor's guidance.
- Enteritis
Enteritis refers to inflammatory diseases of the intestine caused by microbial infection and immune dysfunction. Typical symptoms include fever, bloody stools, and diarrhea. Severe cases can cause electrolyte disorders and dehydration. If not improved in time, it can cause gurgling sounds in the abdomen. Special pet antibiotics and anti-diarrheal drugs can be taken under a doctor's guidance.
During treatment, the dog's physical condition should be observed at any time. If the dog stops eating and drinking, it is recommended to take it to a regular hospital for treatment, otherwise it is easy to delay treatment and affect disease control.
