Signs of a Dog Hating Its Owner

If a dog hates its owner, it will show signs from four aspects. First, the dog will reject the owner's intimacy, hiding in corners and avoiding the owner's approach. Secondly, the dog will not obey the owner's training and commands, always going against the owner. Some dogs with bad tempers may even display aggressive and revengeful behavior, growling at the owner, chewing furniture, and defecating or urinating randomly. If the dog really hates its owner or the current living environment, it might run away when the owner is not paying attention. If a dog shows these signs, the owner can spend more time with it, feed it some good food, and try to regain the dog's favor.

  1. Rejecting Intimacy

Dogs are usually affectionate and like to stick close to their owners. However, if the owner finds that whenever they approach the dog, it instinctively avoids them or even leaves and hides elsewhere, excluding physical discomfort, this usually means the dog doesn't like them and doesn't want to be close to them.

  1. Disobedience

Most dogs have good obedience and can learn many commands after training. However, if the dog hates its owner, it may not improve no matter how much training it receives, or it may deliberately not obey the owner's commands, or even ignore the owner's calls. This indicates that in the dog's subconscious, it doesn't consider the owner to be its master, so it resists obeying them.

  1. Aggressive or Revengeful Behavior

When a dog hates its owner, it might display aggressive or revengeful behavior towards them. For example, it might bark loudly for no reason to express its dissatisfaction or even show aggressive tendencies. It's important to note that the owner is a significant figure in the dog's world, and it will protect them like it would a friend or family member, rather than hurting them easily.

Additionally, dogs can have a sense of revenge. If the owner disciplines them or brings home other animals, the dog might cause trouble when the owner is not around, such as defecating or urinating everywhere or chewing up furniture.

  1. Running Away

For dogs, home is the safest and most comfortable place. However, if the owner finds that the dog always wants to run away or has even run away before, it could mean the dog doesn't like its owner or is dissatisfied with its current living environment. In this case, the owner should reflect on whether they have been too cold towards the dog or have done something else to make it dislike them.
