Infection with panleukopenia, also known as feline distemper, is a severe and contagious disease caused by a viral infection that can lead to multiple systemic functional failures and death in cats. Precautions
The survival ability of feline panleukopenia virus is strong. Under normal circumstances, it can survive in the environment for several months without thorough disinfection. If your cat is diagnosed with feline panleukopenia, it is recommended to isolate it from other pets to avoid contact transmission.
