What's going on if Teddy keeps barking?

Teddy barking continuously may be due to fear, heat, physiological needs, emotional tension, sickness, or other reasons. First, if Teddy has just arrived at a new home, he may bark continuously due to nervousness and fear. Secondly, during the mating season, Teddy will bark continuously to attract the opposite sex. Moreover, when Teddy has physiological needs such as urination, hunger, heat, or cold, he will also bark continuously to seek attention from the owner. Additionally, Teddy is a highly vigilant animal, so he will keep barking whenever he hears any strange sounds. Lastly, if Teddy is sick and experiencing discomfort, he will also bark continuously. In this case, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.

  1. Fear

When Teddy arrives at a new home, he may not adapt to the new environment and feel nervous and afraid, resulting in continuous barking. If this is the case, the owner can provide Teddy with appropriate comfort and reduce his discomfort. Generally, after 2-3 days, Teddy will have adapted to the new environment and stop barking randomly.

  1. Heat

During the mating stage, Teddy will bark continuously at night to attract the opposite sex. Additionally, male Teddy dogs in heat will show signs of frequent erection, increased secretions, and frequent mounting behaviors. Female Teddy dogs in heat will mainly have swollen external genitalia and possibly a small amount of clear sticky fluid flowing out. If the owner wants to breed Teddy, they can choose a suitable partner. If not, they can have Teddy spayed or neutered after the heat is over.

  1. Physiological Needs

When Teddy has physiological needs such as urination, hunger, feeling hot or cold, he will continuously bark to attract the owner's attention. In this case, the owner should pay attention to Teddy's needs and satisfy them promptly. Once his needs are met, Teddy will stop barking.

  1. Emotional Tension

As a highly vigilant animal, Teddy will bark continuously when he hears any surrounding noises. To deal with this, the owner can conduct proper training, such as giving the command "shh" and rewarding Teddy when he stops barking.

  1. Sickness

If Teddy keeps barking continuously along with symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, etc., it is likely that he is sick and experiencing discomfort. If the owner notices these abnormal symptoms in Teddy, they should take him to the pet hospital immediately.
