What can cats bath with?
Cats need to bathe with pet-specific shampoos or antibacterial and anti-allergic medicinal shampoos. However, they should not use human soap or bath products, as the skin structure and pH values are different between humans and cats. Bathing cats with human hygiene products can easily lead to dry and peeling skin, as well as damaged hair.
When bathing cats, it is recommended to use pet-specific care products and avoid other products to prevent harm to the cat's skin health. Long-term use of other products can cause dry skin, increased dandruff, and damaged hair, even reducing the skin's immune ability and leading to secondary bacterial skin diseases. Additionally, prepare common towels, water-absorbing towels, and hairdryers before bathing cats. Some cats may be afraid of the sound of a hairdryer, and in this case, you can use tools like a dryer. Before bathing the cat, adjust the water temperature to an appropriate level to avoid scalding. To minimize the cat's discomfort, wet the cat's back first and wait for it to adapt before wetting the fur on its limbs and other parts. Generally, two people are needed to bathe a cat: one to handle the cat's tension and secure it, and the other to apply the shampoo and rinse.
Note that it is recommended to maintain a comfortable bathroom temperature to avoid the cat catching a cold, and try to shorten the bathing time as much as possible. After the cat's bath, use a water-absorbing towel to wipe off excess water immediately, and then use tools like a hairdryer to dry the fur thoroughly to prevent the cat from catching a cold or developing bacterial skin diseases due to damp skin.
