Cat biting toy and meowing continuously

Cat biting toy and meowing continuously may be due to:

  1. Instinct

Cats have a hunting nature. When they catch their prey, they will bite and meow to warn other animals not to steal their prey. Therefore, when cats are biting and playing with toys, they will instinctively emit ow ow sounds, celebrating and showing off their prey to their owners.

  1. Persuading

If the cat is biting the toy while meowing and circling around the owner, it may be trying to charm the owner into playing with it. At this time, the owner can spend more time playing with the cat, which helps the cat get closer and trust the owner more.

  1. Heat

Cats usually go into heat at the age of 5-6 months. If they don't find a mate during this period, they may vent their emotions on toys, and may also show symptoms such as peeing randomly, howling, and being anxious and irritable. If there is a breeding demand for the cat, it is recommended to wait until the cat is 1.5 years old before breeding to avoid complications such as difficult labor due to the cat being too young. If there is no breeding demand, it is recommended to have the cat spayed or neutered during the non-breeding period.
