Causes of Cat Miscarriage
Cat miscarriage is mainly caused by misuse of drugs, reproductive system problems, vitamin deficiency, and intense exercise. If you have already noticed that a female cat has miscarried, it is recommended to take the cat to a pet hospital as soon as possible. Professional pet doctors can handle the situation according to the cat's specific situation, providing a more secure guarantee for the cat and being more beneficial for the cat's recovery. Moreover, if the fetus dies in the womb after miscarriage and cannot be expelled in time, it poses a greater risk of death for the cat.
- Misuse of Drugs
During a cat's pregnancy, it is not appropriate to randomly give it deworming drugs or other medications. Some components in deworming drugs can cause miscarriage in cats. Therefore, it is recommended that owners perform deworming before breeding their cats, and then allow the cats to become pregnant and give birth.
- Reproductive System Problems
When a cat's own reproductive system is problematic, it can lead to fetal malformation or miscarriage. If the interval between two pregnancies is short, miscarriage may also occur. Therefore, it is recommended that owners not allow their cats to mate again soon after giving birth.
- Vitamin Deficiency
During a cat's pregnancy, owners need to properly arrange their diet and provide the necessary nutrients. If a cat has poor nutrition and severely lacks vitamin A, it can easily lead to miscarriage.
- Intense Exercise
During a cat's pregnancy, owners need to avoid allowing the cat to engage in vigorous exercise. If the cat's movements are not restricted, frequent participation in high-difficulty activities such as jumping and rolling can cause miscarriage.
Note: Before allowing a cat to become pregnant and give birth, it is recommended to have the cat undergo a physical examination. Only when the cat is completely healthy should breeding be considered. Additionally, during a cat's pregnancy, owners can appropriately supplement the cat's vitamins and restrict its movements. High-difficulty activities such as rolling and jumping should be prohibited to prevent miscarriage from occurring.
