Dog suddenly barking, running wild, and hiding in corners
When a dog suddenly starts barking, running wild, and hiding in corners, it could be due to fear, poisoning, injury, or other causes. This usually accompanied by symptoms such as shaking, convulsing, and bleeding. Generally, it is necessary to make a diagnosis based on the actual situation and take corresponding measures according to the specific cause, rather than blindly feeding the dog medication to avoid exacerbating the condition. Also, avoid stimulating the dog and wait for it to calm down before checking it, to prevent the situation from worsening.
Firstly, the dog's sudden outburst of barking, running wild, and hiding in corners might be due to fear. The owner should check the surrounding environment promptly and bring the dog to a quiet and familiar environment without disturbing it. Prepare food and water for the dog, and once it calms down, it will improve. Dogs have very sensitive hearing and can detect abnormalities even in a dark environment at night. Therefore, when someone passes by or there are noises, it can alert the dog.
Secondly, the dog's symptoms may be caused by poisoning. If the dog accidentally ingests toxic substances, such as rat poison, grapes, or chocolate, it may lead to poisoning. If the dog also shows symptoms such as convulsing and foaming at the mouth, induce vomiting and perform gastric washing promptly, then take the dog to the vet for treatment to avoid delaying the dog's condition.
Lastly, the dog's behavior might be caused by injury. Observe whether the dog has external injuries, such as skin punctures or bleeding. The dog may also show signs of shaking and reduced appetite due to pain. Immediately disinfect the wound and if the wound is large, take the dog to the vet for stitching.
