Dog feces contains white worms

If there are worms in your cat's feces, and the worms are white and rice-like, they might be tapeworms. If they are noodle-like or bean sprout-like, they could be roundworms. It is recommended to take your pet to the vet for a microscope feces examination to determine which type of egg is present, as different egg types require different deworming medications. Therapeutic deworming usually involves two oral doses, with a half-month interval between them. After treatment, monthly deworming is required both internally and externally.

White worms in dog feces

If your dog defecates white worms, it could be due to roundworms, tapeworms, or other intestinal parasites, indicating that there are many parasites inside the body. It is advised to purchase deworming medication in a timely manner. After deworming, owners should dispose of their dog's feces and thoroughly disinfect their living environment. It is also recommended to give dogs an internal deworming every three months and an external deworming every month.

Symptoms of dog roundworms

Main symptoms include gradual weight loss, pale mucous membranes, malnutrition, rough and dull fur, loss of appetite, vomiting, and occasionally worm segments in vomit. Pica, digestive dysfunction, palpation, abdominal compression, and extensive worm infestation can cause abdominal pain. The dog may occasionally howl. When intussusception or obstruction occurs, the dog's condition worsens, with no defecation. Additionally, when the worms migrate to the lungs, coughing, and pneumonia-like symptoms may occur, with a raised temperature.

Treatment for dog roundworms

Deworming is effective for parasites. Most commercial internal deworming medications are effective against roundworms, such as Baytril and犬心保. Follow the instructions on the packaging for regular deworming. If there are too many worms causing diarrhea, appropriate probiotics can be added to adjust the intestinal flora activity. If there is enteritis, antibiotics can be administered.
