Points to note when vaccinating
- Observe that the dog shows no clinical manifestations such as sneezing, coughing, running nose, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever before injecting the vaccine.
- Pay attention to whether the storage conditions of the vaccine are correct, whether the vaccine is effective, and whether the vaccine source is provided by the veterinary station. Choose a reliable brand.
- Stay at the hospital for 15 to 30 minutes after the vaccine injection to observe if the dog has any allergic reactions.
- Do not bathe the dog for seven days after the vaccine injection, do not change the dog's diet, do not give deworming medicine on the day of the injection, and do not rub the injection site.
- After changing the dog's living environment, feed the dog for a week, and wait for the dog to adapt before vaccinating.
Causes of failed vaccination
- Interference from maternal antibodies. Testing antibody levels before vaccination can determine if the antibody level is too high and vaccination is not suitable.
- Interference from biological agents. If antibodies or serum products have been used, vaccination should be delayed for seven days.
- Vaccination of pets in non-healthy conditions.
- Immunodeficiency caused by the pet itself.
