Consequences of feeding rice to a Pekingese
Strictly speaking, Pekingese dogs can eat rice, but it is recommended to feed dog food to dogs under six months old. What should Pekingese avoid eating?
Chocolate: The caffeine in chocolate reduces blood flow to the brain, which may cause heart disease and other life-threatening problems. The higher the purity of the chocolate, the higher the caffeine content, and the greater the danger to dogs. Raw or cooked onions and scallions: These foods contain disulfides, which are harmless to humans but can cause oxidative damage to red blood cells in cats, dogs, sheep, horses, and cows, possibly leading to hemolytic anemia. Milk: Many dogs have lactose intolerance. If a dog drinks milk and experiences flatulence, diarrhea, dehydration, or skin inflammation, it could be a sign of lactose intolerance.
What should Pekingese eat?
It is recommended to use natural imported dog food or fresh meat (150-180 grams), combined with an equal amount of dried vegetarian food (some contain vegetables) or cookies, and mix with a suitable amount of water before feeding. Note: Cook the meat and dried vegetarian food before mixing, and ensure all food is fresh. especially in summer, leftover food from the previous meal should not be saved for the next meal but should be discarded immediately and the feeding utensils cleaned.
