Should full-moon puppies be dewormed or vaccinated first?

Full-moon puppies are recommended to be dewormed first and then vaccinated. Generally, internal and external deworming can be done when puppies are at least a month old, but it is necessary to choose dewormers with low toxicity to avoid symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea. Around 45 days old, infectious disease vaccines can be injected according to the vaccination process. The first year of vaccination requires three doses of vaccines to prevent infectious diseases and one dose of rabies vaccine. The injection must ensure that the puppy's weight meets the standards and the body is in good health.

  1. Precautions for vaccination of full-moon puppies

As long as the full-moon puppy is in good health, it can receive the first vaccine 50 days after birth. Subsequent doses should be injected every 20 days, totaling 3 doses. After that, one dose per year is sufficient. Rabies vaccine should be injected 3 months after the first vaccination, and then one dose per year. Generally, pet hospitals will inform owners of vaccination schedules one month in advance, so the rabies vaccine and the regular vaccine should be continued around 11 months later. Specific vaccines should be consulted with a doctor, and vaccination should only be performed when the dog is healthy. Also, since puppies have weaker immune systems, it is best not to let them go outside before vaccination.
