How to Console a Cat When It's Angry
Cats can get angry too, like when you do things that scare them or make them do things they don't want to do. When a cat gets angry, it may first show signs of hissing accompanied by low growls, arching its back, fluffing up its fur, and wagging its tail. In severe cases, it might even bite or scratch people. So don't easily do things that make your cat angry, as it can be quite scary when they're upset.
What to Do When Your Cat Is Angry
You can use treats that your cat usually likes to apologize to it. Speak to the cat in a soft and low voice, even though it doesn't understand what you're saying, it can feel the friendliness in your tone. You can stroke the cat's chin and back of the neck to help it relax and gradually alleviate its unhappiness.
The Sound of a Cat's Anger
When a cat is angry, it will emit a low growl and may also show behaviors of ignoring its owner and leaving them alone. The owner can use treats and toys that the cat likes to distract it and make it forget its anger. The owner can also speak softly to the cat, expressing their guilt, and the cat will feel the owner's emotions and stop being angry.
How Long Does It Take for a Cat to Get Over Its Anger
The specific recovery time after a cat gets angry depends on its personality. If the cat is relatively active, it may forget the thing that made it angry the next day. However, if the cat is stubborn, it might take three to five days for it to show some revengeful behaviors towards the owner, such as making a mess on the bed, urinating randomly, or biting and attacking the owner.
