How to discipline a hyperactive cat

For a hyperactive cat, the first step for the owner is to buy more toys for the cat to play with. This will help消耗 its energy, and once the energy is depleted, the cat will naturally stop running around and jumping. Secondly, if the cat is too active, the owner can train the cat. If the cat completes the desired actions, it can be rewarded with a small amount of food or praised with a gentle pat. If the cat does not obey commands or fail to complete the action requirements, appropriate punishment should be given to warn the cat. With repeated training and discipline, the cat will become obedient.

  1. Energy consumption with toys

Cats are naturally active and playful. If your cat is just a bit mischievous, you can prepare more toys for it, such as wool balls, catnip toys, and toy mice. Once the cat gets tired from playing, it will naturally rest.

  1. Educational training

If playing with toys doesn't help to tire the cat, it's time for the owner to educate and train the cat. During the training, if the cat completes the specified requirements, it can be rewarded with snacks or gentle pats as encouragement. With repeated training, the cat will become obedient.

  1. Punishment and warning

If the cat doesn't obey during the training process and even displays threatening gestures and sounds, the owner needs to give it appropriate punishment to warn it. For example, shout at it or hit the cat's side with a newspaper. Never hit the cat, as this may scare it and cause it to develop a rebellious attitude.
