How to Feed Kitten

Under the condition that the kitten has a mother cat nursing it, the kitten can continue to drink milk until it is 45 days old. However, the mother cat's nutrition must keep up during these 45 days, and it should eat cat food for nursing mothers. After 45 days, the kitten can try to eat some cat food, which can be softened with goat's milk. After that, when the kitten reaches 50 days, cat food does not need to be softened anymore. After two months, the kitten can eat some nutritional paste or cans.

What Do Kittens Like to Eat?

Cats are carnivores, and most of them love to eat meat. Commonly eaten meats such as fish, chicken breast, beef, and pork are all favorites. When feeding cats meat, boil the meat in boiling water, remove the bones, and then feed it to the cat. Raw meat is difficult to digest and unclean, possibly containing parasites, and bones can easily get stuck in the cat's throat or scratch its intestines. Additionally, cats also enjoy eating wet food such as cat cans and cat strips. Since young cats' digestive systems are not well developed, it is best to focus on young cat food, with other foods being limited or avoided. Adults can occasionally eat some.

What Can Kittens Eat?

When a kitten is born, it only needs to drink breast milk. When it grows teeth, the owner should buy special cat milk biscuits for pets and combine them with goat's milk for feeding. Mix the goat's milk with warm water, then add the milk biscuits. Once the biscuits soften, they can be fed to the kitten. Stop feeding when the kitten's belly swells, and stick to small meals throughout the day.

What Kind of Cat Food Is Good for Kittens?

For kittens, the best cat food is milk biscuit food or young cat food. At this stage, cats need more nutrients, and both types of cat food can meet their growth needs. However, in daily feeding, it is necessary to soften the cat food with goat's milk before feeding the kitten. Considering that cats' gastrointestinal functions are not very developed, hard cat food is prone to cause diarrhea.
