How to Remove Fleas from a Dog?

Summer is the season when dogs are most susceptible to fleas. Especially when taking a walk, dogs love to roll around in the grass. Fleas can accidentally jump onto the dog's body, crawl into the hair, and lay eggs, making it difficult to prevent. Here are a few methods to help you remove fleas from your dog.

Ways to Remove Fleas:

（1）First, cut 250 grams of fresh orange peels into slices, wrap them in cheesecloth, and squeeze out the bitter juice. Mix the juice with 500 grams of boiling water and let it cool. Spray the solution on the dog or soak a towel in the diluted orange juice and wrap it around the dog. After an hour, all the fleas on the dog will be dead.

（2）Place the dog in water and don't let it out. Then, add a few drops of camphor oil to the water. This method is even more effective. Camphor oil can kill dog fleas and most worms, and its smell can also prevent fleas from approaching. Soak the dog in water with camphor oil for about five to six minutes, then remove it and rinse it off simply.

（3）Use dog-specific insecticides, preferably before going outside. Because when the dog is sprayed, the fleas may not die immediately and will jump out. If you're at home, it's a mess to clean up.

（4）If there aren't many fleas on the dog, you can catch them by hand. Fleas often hide in the dog's limbs, armpits, neck, or abdomen. This method is simple and harmless to the dog. However, if there are too many fleas, it's too time-consuming.

（5）Use flea collars. This method is the simplest and most convenient, and it's generally available in pet stores and veterinary hospitals. They can be worn for a long time to prevent fleas from entering the dog's fur.
