How to stop a cat's spring call
When a cat reaches six to eight months old, it will begin to mate, resulting in the phenomenon of estrus. A cat's spring call is to mate and reproduce. If the cat is not successfully impregnated, the frequency of its spring call will become more and more frequent. Therefore, when the cat's physical condition permits, the pet owner can find a healthy and well-proportioned male cat for the female cat to mate with;
How to alleviate the heat
Distract the cat's attention with some of its favorite snacks or toys to divert the attention of an estrus female cat. Comfort the emotional cat by stroking its tail. Feeding the cat with estrogen-suppressing drugs or cat food can also alleviate the spring call. Finding a male cat for breeding can solve the spring call problem from the source. After the cat passes through the estrus period, spay or neuter the cat, and then the spring call will not occur again.
Causes of spring call
In fact, any animal in heat will adopt unique behavior patterns to attract the opposite sex for the purpose of breeding. Cats attract the opposite sex during estrus by making calls, the frequency of which is higher than usual and sounds different. If your cat is in heat and you don't want it to breed, don't let it go outside or get spayed at the pet hospital when not in heat.
Time and symptoms of heat
A cat's spring call usually lasts 3-7 days. Cats are seasonal breeders, with most of them breeding in spring and autumn. The estrus cycle generally consists of estrus precursor, estrus, estrus interval, and anestrus. During estrus, cats will frequently scratch their heads, rub their necks, bend their spines forward while rolling, have mildly swollen vulvas, lick their external genitalia, make frequent caterwauling and urination.
