Suddenly aggressive male cat bites and scratches people

Symptoms:

  • Aggressive behavior towards people and other animals
  • Biting and scratching
  • Nocturnal loud screaming

Possible causes:

  1. Mating season: Male cats become aggressive and restless during mating season. They may also show signs of rolling around or constantly twisting their bodies. If the cat's behavior is affecting your daily life and you don't plan to breed them, consider neutering the cat.

  2. Fright: Cats become aggressive when suddenly scared. They may also puff up their fur as a protective measure. Avoid approaching the cat until it has settled down and then provide comfort.

  3. Rabies: If your cat is suddenly aggressive and shows other abnormal symptoms such as drooling, fear of light, water, and sound, it may have rabies. Immediately isolate the cat and notify relevant authorities.

Neutering and providing a stable environment can help reduce aggressive behavior in cats.
