What can Teddy bear dogs eat?

Natural dog food is the preferred choice for Teddy bear dogs. When selecting dog food, the main consideration should be the dog's fur color. For white or black Teddy bear dogs, choose natural dog food that strengthens fur color, while for red-brown or gray Teddy bear dogs, generally choose natural dog food that promotes beautiful fur. For calcium supplementation, Teddy bear dogs can eat some calcium tablets, bone broth, etc. Teddy bear dogs can also eat some vegetables, such as cabbage, pumpkin, etc.

1. Meat

Chicken breast, beef, salmon, etc., are all suitable for Teddy bear dogs. These meats have low fat content and high protein content, which is very suitable for Teddy bear dogs. Chicken and beef must be cooked and mixed with dog food before feeding to Teddy. Eating more salmon can make Teddy's fur brighter. If you are worried about the high price, you can buy some scraps, which have the same nutritional value.

2. Vegetables

Teddy bear dogs can eat vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, pumpkin, etc. However, it is necessary to cook them thoroughly and avoid feeding them raw. It is best not to feed them to young dogs, and adult dogs should also eat them in moderation to prevent diarrhea.

3. Fruits

Fruits that Teddy bear dogs can eat include bananas, strawberries, apples, watermelon, pears, etc. However, fruits contain higher amounts of sugar, so they should not be eaten in large quantities to prevent obesity.

4. Coarse grains

Teddy bear dogs can also eat a moderate amount of coarse grains such as potatoes, soybeans, sweet potatoes, oats, etc. But remember to eat less, as excessive consumption of coarse grains can increase the burden on the stomach and intestines, especially for young Teddy bear dogs with weaker digestive systems.
