Two-month-old kitten always crying
A two-month-old kitten that constantly cries may be due to reasons such as dry environment, stress response, eye inflammation, and infectious disease infection. If the cause is external, you can increase the humidity of the kitten's living environment and improve the nutritional structure of their food. If it's due to eye inflammation, some anti-inflammatory eye drops can be used for treatment. If the kitten is infected with a contagious disease, it is recommended for the owner to take the kitten to the pet hospital in a timely manner.
- Environmental causes
When the environment is dry, or there is excessive dust, the kitten's eyes can be easily stimulated due to their young age and incomplete immune system, leading to crying. It is recommended for the owner to add some indoor plants or install a humidifier to increase the humidity in the environment, and to regularly clean the dust.
- Stress response
Constant crying in kittens may be due to their inability to adapt to new environments or new cat food. For example, suddenly changing the kitten's living environment or cat food can cause a stress response, such as crying. It is recommended to let the kitten gradually adapt to the new environment before gradually changing the cat food, which can reduce the stress response in cats.
- Eye inflammation
When the kitten's eyes are stimulated by foreign objects or infected by bacteria, the surrounding area of the eyes will become red and swollen, and the conjunctiva will also become red and itchy. It is recommended for the owner to give the kitten some anti-inflammatory medication and drop eye drops into their eyes. If the condition does not improve, it is advised to seek medical attention promptly.
- Infectious disease infection, such as feline upper respiratory tract infection, when a kitten goes outside or comes into contact with other infected cats at home, symptoms such as crying, sneezing, increased eye secretions, red conjunctiva, loss of appetite, and depression may occur. The kitten's temperature will also rise. If there are other cats being raised in the house, it is recommended to isolate the sick cat and take it to the vet immediately.
