What to do when your cat pees randomly at home
If your cat is peeing randomly at home, you should first limit its activity range and clean up its excrement thoroughly. Then, spray an odor eliminator to prevent the cat from smelling the scent and peeing again. At the same time, determine the reason why your cat is misbehaving and take corresponding measures. If it's because the cat's litter box is too dirty, clean it at least twice a day. If your cat has a urinary system disease, it may also exhibit random urination. Take your cat to the pet hospital promptly for examination and treatment.
Reasons for cats peeing randomly at home
There are several situations where cats pee randomly. 1: During the mating season, male cats mark their territory by peeing randomly. 2: Cat urinary tract infections can cause pain during urination. 3: Bladder or urethral stones can make cats feel like they need to pee frequently and urgently.
What are the symptoms of cat heat?
During heat, male cats will assume a standing position, raise their tails high, and spray urine on vertical objects. While spraying urine, their tails will shake, and their urine will smell stronger than usual. Female cats in heat will wander everywhere, be restless, and claw at the doors and windows frantically if they hear a male cat's call or see one walking by. If you gently tap the base of a female cat's tail, it will instinctively lift its hindquarters.
What to do when your cat is in heat
If you have no intention of breeding, it's best to spay or neuter your cat before its first heat. If you wait until after the cat has gone into heat, it may still exhibit some heat-related behaviors even after the procedure. To help your cat through its heat cycle, you can use a cat teaser or ball to attract its attention, give it extra comfort, and feed it a variety of cat cans or wet food. Do not bath your cat during its heat cycle.
