Why doesn't a female cat go into heat?
A female cat may not go into heat due to the following reasons:
Age: Female cats usually start going into heat when they are 7-8 months old. If the cat is young and has not reached sexual maturity, they won't go into heat. In this case, the owner can observe the cat at home for a longer period.
Congenital defects: If the female cat has reached the age of heat but does not go into heat, it could be due to poor ovarian development. Such cats should be spayed early to prevent potential complications.
Lack of exercise: If a cat's diet is monotonous and they consume excessive protein, fat, and carbohydrates, coupled with a lack of exercise, they may become overweight. This can lead to a severe drop in hormones, preventing the cat from going into heat. To address this, owners should ensure a balanced diet and feed the cat with additional foods like chicken breast and cooked egg yolk to maintain hormone balance.
Spayed: If the female cat was not raised from a young age and was possibly a stray cat, she might have been spayed by a previous owner. This is a normal situation, and if there's any uncertainty, the cat can be taken to a pet hospital for inspection.
