Queen Cat's Heat Behavior
When a queen cat is in heat, she usually exhibits behaviors such as frequent howling, increased dependence on her owner, constant rolling around, raised buttocks, and rubbing her hind legs on the ground. Physically, the external genitalia of the queen cat will have a clear secretion. Due to hormonal changes, cats can become irritable and anxious, and some may even refuse to eat or drink, or leave home. Therefore, during the cat's heat period, owners must pay close attention to and take care of their cats. If there are no plans to breed, it is advisable to have the cat spayed in time to alleviate her suffering.
The most common behavior of a queen cat in heat is to love to cuddle with her owner and emit loud howls, especially at night. At the same time, the external genitalia of the queen cat will have a transparent secretion, and she will constantly roll around on the ground, raise her buttocks, and release her scent to attract male cats for mating.
Due to changes in hormones, queen cats in heat become anxious and irritable. As most of their attention is focused on seeking a mate, they may lose interest in food and even develop anorexia. Owners can feed the queen cat her favorite food to appropriately divert her attention.
The most dangerous behavior of a queen cat in heat is that she may wander away from home or even commit extreme acts such as jumping out of windows. Therefore, it is necessary to take good care of the queen cat.
Queen cats are cyclic breeders, and they will go into heat again one week after their heat ends, which may affect people's daily lives. If the owner has no intention of breeding the queen cat, it is recommended to have her spayed at a pet hospital in time.
