Black spots on cat's skin

Black spots on a cat's skin may be caused by folliculitis, a skin disease caused by bacterial infection. It is recommended to feed the cat food with low fat content and replace ceramic feeding utensils.

2. Melanin deposition-induced black spots

Small black spots on a cat's body may also be caused by melanin deposition. Usually, melanin deposition is a concurrent symptom of many skin diseases or a residual symptom after skin disease treatment. The condition can gradually improve once the cause is removed. If the cat's skin disease is not severe, stop using topical medications in time and use products that enhance skin resistance, such as topical ceramides or oral health supplements containing Omega-3 to improve overall skin repair ability and promote healthy skin.

3. Flea infection-induced black spots

Consider the possibility of flea infection when small black spots appear on a cat's body. If the flea infection is mild, it may not be easy to detect the flea adults, but black dots can be found at the root of the cat's hair. It is recommended to use topical flea control products according to the cat's deworming status, and commonly used flea control drugs contain ingredients such as selamectin.
