Can cat triple vaccine and deworming be done together?
It is not recommended to do them together. Because after the cat triple vaccine, the cat's body is stimulated to a certain extent. If you give the cat internal deworming, it may increase the burden on the cat's body and even affect the cat's health severely. Cat deworming can be divided into internal and external deworming. Although internal deworming cannot be done, external deworming can be done simultaneously.
The cat triple vaccine belongs to a biological preparation. After vaccination, it will stimulate the cat's immune system and produce immune antibodies that can resist diseases. However, it will temporarily weaken the cat's immune ability and even induce some adverse reactions, such as drowsiness, depression, and loss of appetite. If you give the cat internal deworming, it will increase the cat's physical burden, easily cause diarrhea and other symptoms, and even lead to the cat's infection with certain viral infectious diseases, such as feline panleukopenia.
Usually, after the vaccine is administered for 7 days and the cat's condition is normal, internal deworming can be done. It is recommended to use internal deworming drugs containing milbemycin and other ingredients. Such deworming drugs have less stimulation to the cat's intestines, are less likely to cause gastrointestinal discomfort, and have better deworming effects. Although it is not possible to do internal deworming immediately after vaccination, external deworming can be done because the administration method of external deworming is topical drops, which have little stimulation to the dog's body. Common external deworming drugs contain ingredients such as selamectin, nitroxinil, and avermectin. Among them, avermectin cannot be used in Collies or dog breeds derived from Collies. Finally, dogs need to regularly do internal and external deworming. It is recommended to do internal deworming every 2 to 3 months and external deworming every 1 to 2 months.
