Lack of energy and sleep after completing the cat triple vaccine

Some cats may experience mild vaccine allergic reactions after receiving the cat triple vaccine. The allergic reactions that usually occur 1 to 2 days after vaccination may include poor spirits, decreased appetite, vomiting, sleepiness, swollen eyelids and red eyes. These are normal immune responses and there is no need for excessive worry. The condition should improve on its own within a day or so.

Firstly, it is recommended that owners observe their cats for half an hour after they complete the cat triple vaccine. If there are no abnormalities, the cat can be taken home. If the cat shows other unusual behaviors after being taken home, it is necessary to bring the cat to the hospital for examination.

Secondly, within a week of receiving the cat triple vaccine, the cat's resistance to disease may decrease, and it may become sick. The cat triple vaccine is a weak-toxin vaccine, and it takes time for the virus to stimulate the body to produce antibodies, along with some side effects. Therefore, it is required that the cat has a good health condition before vaccination to ensure that it does not become sick due to the vaccine. After receiving the vaccine, the cat may experience a certain degree of stress response, such as poor spirits, decreased appetite, sleepiness, mild vomiting and diarrhea, which are all normal phenomena. This condition may last for 2 to 3 days. However, if it continues for more than two days, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a check-up.

Finally, it takes about 7 days for the vaccine to produce a certain amount of antibodies, providing the cat with some protection. Cats who have just received the vaccine within 1 to 3 days are not in a safe period, as the vaccine's effect has not fully manifested itself. Due to their weak resistance, it is best to wait until a week or half a month later to bathe the cat, to avoid the cat getting cold or scared and becoming sick. During this time, try to minimize the number of times the cat goes outside and isolate it from other animals.
