Ragdoll cat suddenly becomes sleepy and lacks energy
If your cat is sleepy and lacks energy, if your cat has just had a vaccine, it may be due to the mental depression caused by the vaccine reaction. This will recover on its own in a day or two, so there's no need to worry. It could also be due to mental depression caused by a disease. Symptoms without characteristic indicators such as excessive sleep and mental depression will occur in many diseases. It needs to be diagnosed along with other clinical symptoms of the cat.
Is it uncomfortable for a ragdoll cat to sleep all the time?
Not necessarily, it needs to be analyzed along with other clinical symptoms. First, if the cat only sleeps more, without affecting its appetite, and has a normal mental state when not sleeping, and there are no problems with defecation, etc., it can be basically judged that the cat is not having any issues, but this is not absolute and it's recommended to visit the animal hospital. Second, if the cat's appetite decreases or stops completely, and it seems mentally depressed, it is advised to go to the hospital, where the cat may be diagnosed with a particular disease.
Symptoms of a sick cat

Diarrhea: Diarrhea is a sign of illness in cats, especially when it occurs repeatedly. Sneezing or watery eyes: Sneezing and watery eyes are the main symptoms of colds or influenza. Scratching the skin: Frequent scratching of its own skin and fur may indicate fleas or lice parasites, or infections such as mange and fungal skin diseases, or hormonal eczema.
What to do if your cat is sick
It is recommended to take the cat to the hospital for diagnosis. Cats have strong endurance, so initial signs of disease are usually not easy to notice. By the time the owner notices the cat is sick, the disease has already progressed to the middle or late stages. Therefore, owners should not ignore the signs and take the cat to the hospital immediately. Always pay attention to the cat's mental state, appetite, and urine and stool conditions. Regular deworming is also necessary, as well as squeezing the cat's anal glands, preventing heatstroke in summer, and keeping the cat warm in winter.
