Four Taboos of Bathing Dogs at Home
Many dog owners choose to bathe their pets at home. But what should you attention to when giving your dog a bath at home? Today, I'd like to share four periods that you should avoid bathing your dog.
Too young: Dogs under three months old have very weak resistance. Bathing them at this stage may easily lead to sickness, such as catching a cold. Moreover, taking them out during this period may also increase the risk of contracting diseases like distemper or canine influenza.
When dogs are sick: For instance, if they have just undergone surgery or are experiencing diarrhea, bathing them is not suitable. Dogs with weak resistance are prone to catching a cold, which may exacerbate their illness. It's better to bathe them after they have recovered from their illness.
During pregnancy: The early and late stages of pregnancy are also not suitable for bathing dogs. Bathing during these periods may lead to accidents and even cause miscarriage.
When dogs have wounds: For example, if their paws are broken or bleeding, they should not be bathed as water may cause inflammation.
Remember these four taboos when bathing your dog at home to ensure a healthy and safe bathing experience.
