Grooming Tips for Bathing Teddy Dogs

Shampoo: Use dog-specific shampoo; never use human bath products for dogs.

Water Temperature: The water should not be too hot or too cold, as both are harmful to your dog's health. Additionally, take proper warming measures to prevent your dog from catching a cold.

Drying: After bathing your dog, dry its coat thoroughly to prevent bacterial growth and skin diseases.

Care: Use a cotton swab to wipe away water from your dog's ear canal, preventing moisture from breeding ear mites.

Bathing dogs seems simple, but there are many things to watch out for when giving your dog a proper bath.

  1. Before bathing, use a comb to detangle your dog's hair, especially around the limbs where knots are prone to form.

  2. Before bathing, clean your dog's ear canal with ear drops and a cotton swab. This ensures that the ears remain clean and dry, preventing ear mites.

  3. Ensure that the shampoo foam is thoroughly rinsed off, and use a hair dryer with a comb to dry your dog's hair. Blow dry the hair in the opposite direction of the roots to ensure that they are dry, preventing moisture-induced skin diseases.

  4. After bathing and drying, wipe your dog's ears with a cotton swab to remove any remaining moisture. This prevents ear infections due to waterlogging.

  5. During the bath, it's inevitable that shampoo foam will get into your dog's eyes. To prevent infection, drop a few drops of eye drops into each eye.

  6. Dogs who haven't had their vaccines have weaker immune systems and should not be bathed. It is recommended to bath them one week after they have been vaccinated.
