How to Clean Dog Ear Mites at Home

Dog ear mites are a common parasitic disease in many dogs. Once a dog gets ear mites, they will constantly scratch their ears and rub them back and forth. So how can we clean dog ear mites at home ourselves? Here is a tutorial on dog ear mite cleaning.

Step 1: First, we need this kind of ear wash. How to use it? We need to clean the ear canal, which means pouring the shampoo completely into the ear canal.

Step 2: Then, at this point, place the dog's ear in a position that covers the ear canal. Once covered, use your thumb to gently rub the ear, until it reaches the point where your hand is placed on your throat and you feel the dog swallowing saliva.

Step 3: After rubbing, turn the ear flap over, and the dog will shake its head, removing the dirty materials from the ear.

Step 4: After the dog has finished shaking its ears, use a cotton swab to clean the ear thoroughly.

Step 5: After cleaning, spray the ear mite medication into the ear canal, and then follow the same procedure as before, pressing your thumb against the ear and rubbing it gently.

Lastly, please note: The medication will wet the dog's ear hair, so it's best to use a towel to wipe the ear hair dry, otherwise, it may easily lead to skin diseases.
