How to feed young puppies
**Young puppies of different ages have different feeding methods, and owners should feed them reasonably. Puppies under one month old have weak bodies and it is best to persist in breastfeeding. If breastfeeding is not possible, you can choose component-free and safe pet goat milk powder for the puppies. Feeding should be on time and quantitative, not too thick, otherwise the puppies may experience diarrhea and indigestion. After the puppies turn one month old, they can switch to softened milk cake food, and when the puppies are slightly older, they can be fed dry food.
Young puppies under one month old:
Puppies under 30 days have fragile gastrointestinal tracts and relatively poor resistance. Therefore, breast milk from the dog mother should be the main source of nutrition. Colostrum contains rich nutrients and maternal antibodies, which can enhance the puppy's immunity and provide nutrients for their growth. If the dog mother is unable to breastfeed due to health reasons, a lactating female dog nearby can also be found to help with nursing.
In special cases where breastfeeding is not possible, pet-specific goat milk powder can be fed. The feeding method is: mix the goat milk powder with hot water, and feed the puppy every 1-2 hours. First, feed on time to prevent low blood sugar in the puppy, and second, feed in small amounts多次,以免狗狗消化不良。
Note that some puppies may experience diarrhea after eating goat milk powder, usually due to ingredient allergies or being too thick. Simply changing the goat milk powder brand or diluting it can resolve this issue. Once prepared, the goat milk powder should be fed within 2 hours. If necessary, some pet probiotics can be fed.
Puppies over one month old:
Puppies who are relatively healthy after 30 days can gradually transition from breast milk or goat milk to weaning milk cake food. The milk cake food needs to be completely softened before being fed to the puppy, which usually takes about 30 minutes. As the puppy grows slowly, you can appropriately reduce the amount of water used for soaking and the time, eventually transitioning to dry dog food.
