How to Groom a Teddy Dog's Coat
The Teddy is a breed of Poodle that has evolved through breeding, characterized by its woolly curly hair, which is easy to style. Added to that, Teddy dogs generally have small mouths, short noses, and round, big eyes. Their small size makes them very popular. In other words, many people love this adorable dog. Let's take a look at how to properly care for it. The first step is feeding and coat care!
1. Spring
Feeding: Dogs love spring just like humans. In spring, dogs usually have a better appetite. Increases of 10% in the normal food intake are recommended. Ensure that Teddy has plenty of exercise daily to increase intestinal peristalsis and promote digestion. You can add a bit of seaweed powder to the dog food, which is mainly for beauty purposes.
Coat Care: In spring, when everything grows rapidly, especially lawns, which are prone to parasites, it's best to give your dog an external parasite prevention treatment. Regularly brush your dog's hair to prevent knots.
2. Summer
Feeding: Dogs usually lose their appetite in summer. You can add some chrysanthemum to their usual drinking water to cool down and prevent heatstroke. Choose dog food made from duck ingredients, as duck contains protein, fat, calcium, phosphorus, iron, niacin, and vitamins B1 and B2, which can clear heat, remove toxins, and help with tear stains.
Coat Care: Before summer starts, mix gynecological health care products like Famyinjie with water at a 1:100 ratio to give your dog a bath, mainly to repel mosquitoes and insects. Summer weather can make dog skin dry, so conditioners specifically designed for dogs can be used to care for their coats.
3. Autumn
Feeding: Autumn is a favorite season for dogs because the weather cools down. Take your dog outdoors more often to enjoy the sun, but avoid staying out too long. Regularly disinfect and expose your dog's living environment.
Coat Care: I usually brush my dog's hair every day in autumn. Even if your Teddy doesn't shed much hair, brushing helps remove any remaining hair.
4. Winter
Feeding: In winter, I usually choose dog food containing deer meat to increase protein intake and protect against the cold weather. Ensure your dog's bedding is thicker for warmth and use boiled water for drinking.
Coat Care: Winter is a good time to make fish oil from salmon scraps and mix it with dog food. Salmon contains various trace elements and is beneficial for beauty purposes, but be sure to remove all bones.
