What to do if a small dog bites a chicken
If you find that your small dog is biting a chicken, the first thing the owner should do is to stop it in time and scold it loudly so that it knows this behavior is wrong. Secondly, you can also use other things to divert the dog's attention, such as the toys and snacks the dog usually likes. If these methods don't work, it is recommended to put a muzzle on the dog, so that it can't bite the chicken.
- shout and scold
Small dogs are naturally mischievous and curious, so when they see a chicken, they will chase after it. If the owner sees this, they can immediately scold the dog, call it to their side, or pat its buttocks to warn it not to do so.
- divert attention
Some small dogs bite chickens because they find it fun. In this case, the owner can try to divert its attention by giving it something else, such as a fun and interesting chew toy or chew snack.
- put a muzzle on the dog
If shouting and diverting attention don't work, it is recommended to separate the dog and the chicken to reduce contact, or put a muzzle on the dog to prevent it from getting close to the chicken.
