What to do when a cat bites you
In fact, when a cat plays with you, he is engaging in a hunting game and exercising his survival instincts. However, we don't want behaviors like biting and scratching to occur, and we hope that he will play gently with his paws.
Why does a cat bite?
It has to do with the cat's personality. Some cats enjoy being petted, but when their pupils dilate and their tail wags wildly, you should immediately stop your actions and let them go.
Don't try to change a cat's personality. Therefore, we need a "time out" during play. If the cat shows signs of scratching and biting, pause and turn away to ignore it. Don't immediately stand up and leave, as prey will choose to escape when it sees the cat. Leave it alone for at least 3-5 minutes, and repeat this process until it understands your intention.
Some people suggest picking up the cat and putting it in another room. However, I've found that doing so will only result in more bites.
Some people say, "I wasn't even playing with him, why did he suddenly bite me and run away?" This situation indicates that your cat is bored, full of energy, and has no way to vent. Therefore, spend at least 10 minutes twice a day playing with it. When it gets tired, it won't sneak attack you anymore.
